What Are Office Hours?
The time that a faculty member, lab assistant, or instructor spends in a classroom is only one component of his or her instructional commitment to students. Effective educators in higher education settings also set time outside of scheduled class time to make themselves available to students. This time outside of the classroom is sometimes known as office hours.
